Happy Golden Days

I can't even begin to describe all the wonderful and beautiful things that have happened to me in the past week.  I think these are what will be called, some day in the future, the happy, golden days of yore.

It all started last Thursday when poor Wade got his braces on:

Meanwhile, Dennis is busy, busy, busy trying to get Paul's room finished.  We did not make it, but we did the best we could.  And it has certainly helped give Paul something to do while he gets his post-mission feet back on the ground!

And then, on Friday, oh glorious day!!  He came home at last.

The hard part of that day was that Kate wasn't there.  She was in Ogden rehearsing for the All-State Orchestra concert that was coming up on Saturday afternoon.  So after our emotional reunion at the airport, we drove up to Ogden for one more emotional reunion.

And one more reunion.  An important one.

What a wonderful day.  We are so glad he's home!  And then back up to Ogden Saturday (in the pouring rain and blizzarding snow) for Kate's concert.  It was absolutely FAN-tastic.

Sunday was Paul's homecoming.  He gave a nice talk, and I was so proud of him.  He's grown up some, but he's still our funny, clever boy.  It was wonderful to see so many of his friends, and meet some new friends, and it was also nice to eat lots of delicious cookies and other yummy treats while we visited.  It was a really, really nice day.

So we had a few days to breathe, and then Wednesday, Kate was a soloist for her high school's Concerto/Aria concert.  She was  a little nervous, and I was a little nervous (OK, so I cried right before the concert started because I SO wanted everything to be perfect for her), but she has worked so hard, and she was so prepared.  And it was lovely.  Really, really lovely.  She did such a good job, as did the other soloists.  SUCH a great night.

So you see, these really are the happy golden days.  I am so lucky.

That was an awesome post! We loved all the pictures, so sweet and tender and we all winced a little for Wade. What wonderful golden days! I wish wish wish we could have been there. *sniffle*

However, I asked Wyatt if he wanted to say anything and he said, "TOOT!" So as you can see, we are just a step away from poobumfart. :) Love you!!!
